The people of Erwin First United Methodist Church are diverse, welcoming, committed to community and mission, with a worship style that could best be described as inclusive. Sunday services usually feature a blend of traditional (organ, piano and communion) with contemporary elements, although all forms of Christian worship expression are welcomed.
About half the members of Erwin First live within walking distance of the church, and we are among the most ethnically diverse congregations in the city of Syracuse. First-time visitors are ALWAYS welcome and warmly greeted!
Erwin First primarily serves the area around Syracuse University and Westcott St, but is also actively involved in broader missions within the city of Syracuse and the world. Our large, lovingly-maintained building at the corner of Westcott and Euclid allows us to host several community groups, including Scout Troop 1, Girl Scouts, and music programs.
